AYS Summer Basketball is designed to be a fun mini season during Summer break. This program allows players the opportunity to grow and develop their skills while also having FUN! The season will consist of six practices and four games. Practices will be on weeknights and games will be on Saturdays.
AGE DIVISIONS
2nd/3rd Grade Co-ed Division
4th/5th Grade Co-ed Division
6th-8th Grade Co-ed Division
Leagues will be determined by the grade the player is in for the upcoming school year (2025-2026).
AYS SUMMER BASKETBALL SEASON
The season will tentatively run from Wednesday, July 9 - Saturday, July 26, and will be held on weeknights (typically between 6:00pm - 9:00pm) and Saturday's (typically between 10:00am - 4:00pm). Please note: league and grade-specific practice days and times will not be determined until after registration has closed.
REGISTRATION
Registration will open on April 16th and will close at midnight on June 15, 2025.

LOCATION
Practices and games will be held in a variety of locations at Avon Community School Corporation's school gymnasiums.
EVALUATIONS
There will not be evaluations for Summer Basketball.
GEAR REQUIRED
AYS will provide athletes with a reversible jersey in the size that is specified at the time of registration. Athletes will need to provide their own basketball (size listed below by grade level), athletic shoes, and water bottle (please put player's name on both ball and water bottle).
2nd/3rd grade: 28.5" ball
4th/5th Grade: 28.5" ball
6th-8th Grade: 29.5" ball
