Our recreational baseball program is designed to not only give players many opportunities from learning the fundamentals, to developing already established skills to learning about team work, the way to handle the ups and downs of winning and losing, and how to work hard to achieve a goal.

***Per the chart above, the player's age as of August 31st is the league your player is eligible for
Age Eligibilty:
Tee Ball (Co-Ed): 4-6 year olds: (Coach pitch, 6 year olds that have never played before)
Rookie: 6-7 year olds: (all Coach pitch, 7 year olds that have never played before)
AA: 8-9 year olds (first year kid pitch; 10 year olds that have never played before)
AAA: 9-10 year olds
Majors: 11-12 year olds
Juniors/Seniors: 13-16 year olds

SPORT SEASON
The Spring Baseball season plans to start the beginning of April for ALL AJAA leagues (PeeWee through Jrs/Srs). The season will wrap up around mid June. For a printable calendar of important dates for AJAA Little League Spring Baseball, check back as it will be updated soon!

REGISTRATION
Regular Registration for Spring Little League Baseball is open January 4, 2020 through February 28th, 2021 for ALL Leagues.
*There is NO late registration. Once registration closes, we will not be able to add players.
**Please note: if your player is considering playing AJAA Baseball, but is waiting to see if they make a school team, please go ahead and register them so they have a spot. If they make a school team, per our refund policy we will issue a full refund.
Special requests are taken into consideration such as practice dates, coach request, and buddy request; however requests are not guaranteed.

EVALUATIONS
Dates and location are TBD
NO evals for PeeWee or Rookies
The goal for evaluations is to measure each player's skill level so as to have equitable teams. It's important that all players attend (with the exception of PeeWee & Rookie leagues).
Parents: Please make plans to attend a mandatory parent meeting. Date and location TBD. We will send out email communication with confirmed info.
PRACTICES AND GAMES
All leagues will have one week night practice and a game on Saturdays. There could be games scheduled in the evenings after the end of the school year.
Practices and games can be held at our various facilities: AJAA Baseball/Softball park located at CR 625 and 100 S, Avon Middle School North fields, Avon Middle School South fields and Light & Life Church on 100S.
GEAR REQUIRED
AJAA will provide players with uniform shirts and hats. Players are asked to purchase gray baseball pants, a fielding glove and a batting helmet. Cleats and a protective cup are encouraged (non-metal) but not mandatory.
