Fall Baseball program overview

Welcome to AJAA Baseball!
Our recreational baseball program is designed to not only give players many opportunities from learning the fundamentals, to developing already established skills to learning about team work, the way to handle the ups and downs of winning and losing, and how to work hard to achieve a goal.

FALL BASEBALL AGE DIVISIONS
Fall Ball follows the 2022 Spring age chart.
TeeBall: ages 4, 5 & 6 (Coach pitch/hit off the tee)
Rookies: ages 6 & 7 (All Coach pitch)
AA: ages 8 & 9 olds (First year of player pitch)
AAA: ages 9 & 10 (any 11 year olds that may not have any experience - Full player pitch)
Majors: ages 11 & 12 (Full player pitch)
Juniors/Seniors: combined league for 13-16 year olds

Rookies: $125
AA: $145
AAA: $145
Majors: $145
Jrs/Srs: $145

REGISTRATION
Regular Registration for Fall Baseball opens May 13th and closes June 27th 2022.
NO LATE REGISTRATION - no exceptions!
NO registrations will be accepted after June 27th 2022.
Special requests are taken into consideration such as practice dates, coach request, and buddy request; however requests are not guaranteed.

EVALUATIONS
July 11th 6-8pm: AA, AAA and Majors
July 12th 6-8pm: Rookies and Jrs/Srs
Evals will take place at the AJAA Fields - 866 S CR 625 E Avon, IN 46123

PRACTICES AND GAMES
Fall Baseball will have one game on Sundays (starting after 1pm and should be finished between 6-7pm) and possibly one game during the week and one practice. Actual team schedules will not be built until after registration has closed and teams have been assigned. AJAA Fall Baseball will be an internal league unless there aren't enough players signed up. If there aren't enough players per league, teams will play outside leagues and could travel to those leagues (local organizations).

Practices and games can be held at our various facilities: AJAA Baseball/Softball park located at CR 625 and 100 S, Avon Middle School North fields, Avon Middle School South fields and Light & Life Church on 100S.

GEAR REQUIRED
AJAA will provide players with uniform shirts and hats. Players are asked to purchase gray baseball pants, a fielding glove, a bat and a batting helmet. Cleats are encouraged (non-metal) but not mandatory.

Criminal Background Check required

HEAD COACHES
Volunteer Coaches are needed for every league, every team. Please consider registering as a coach when registering your child.
Head Coaches are asked to attend a coaches meeting before the season starts. More details on that to come.  Criminal Background Check Required.

Umpires Needed

AJAA is currently looking for umpires for its Baseball/Softball programs. Interested individuals must be at least 14 years of age, adults welcome too.

AJAA is looking for individuals with a willingness to learn the skill of umpiring. Experience is not required as AJAA offers training to all umpires. Training meetings are mandatory along with any other umpire meetings that may happen. Criminal Background Check is required for adults 18 and over; 2 letters of recommendation for minors required.

Pay is based on experience from $15 and up per game.
