Rec Fall Football Overview


The AJAA Football Committee, USA Football and the Avon Junior Athletic Association are committed to ensuring a positive youth football experience. We provide league-wide benefits for AJAA players, parents and coaches through USA Football’s Heads Up Program. Indianapolis-based USA Football and the AJAA have been partners since 2011. USA Football is the sport’s national governing body and is the official youth football development partner of the NFL and its 32 teams.

All coaches are prepared to lead their teams by completing a 15-chapter coaching education course on, encompassing how to best teach football fundamentals, communicating with players and player health and safety, including concussion education and management.

Practices will begin the week of July 13th, 2020
Games will begin Saturday August 15, 2020
Season ends by Saturday October 3, 2020

*season could be slightly extended if makeup games are needed

Avon High School Football Camp (highly recommended by AJAA Football Committee that players attend) is July 6th - 9th at Avon High School from 5:30-7:15pm.


Flag (Kindergarten & 1st Grade): $85
Jr. Tackle (2nd Grade): $165
Minors (3rd & 4th Grade): $170
Majors (5th & 6th Grade): $170
*Payment plans are available in the registration.  PLEASE be sure to understand payment due dates when selecting a payment plan.  If there are outstanding balances prior to first games, that could affect a player's ability to play in games.

**Avon High School Football Camp will be an add on option.  PLEASE remember to select the option upon registering.  The fee for Football Camp when registering with AJAA Fall Football is $35.  If you do not register through AJAA Fall Football registration, the fee will be $60 due 1st day of camp; CASH ONLY.

We need as many people who are interested in a fall coaching position to attend this event to get trained on how to properly fit the kids with a helmet and shoulder pads. If you need more information on volunteering, please email Football Commissioner by clicking HERE.  Our first mandatory coaches meeting is TBD

Flag league will typically have 1 practice a week - games are planned for Saturdays
Jr. Tackle through Majors usually practice a couple of times a week up to 4 times a week before games begin (coaches discretion)  Games typically on Saturdays
**games could be held through the week in the evenings if make up games are needed
Practices are scheduled to start July 13th 2020 at Cedar Elementary
Games are scheduled to start August 8th 2020
**No games Labor Day weekend and September 28 2020 due to Heritage Festival

Registered AJAA Fall Football players can come pick up a helmet and pads on the following dates:
Tuesday June 16th from 6-8pm at the AJAA Fields
Thursday June 18th from 6-8pm at the AJAA Fields
Tuesday June 23rd from 6-8pm at the AJAA Fields
Thursday June 25th from 6-8pm at the AJAA Fields
Tuesday June 30th from 6-8pm at the AJAA Fields
Thursday July 2nd from 6-8pm at the AJAA Fields

**Flag Football players do NOT need to attend equipment fittings.

Evaluations for Jr Tackle through Majors are at Avon High School Football Field at the AHS Football Camp on:
Monday July 6th from 5:30 - 7:15pm
Tuesday July 7th from 5:30 - 7:15pm
Wednesday July 8th from 5:30 - 7:15pm
Thursday July 9th from 5:30 - 7:15pm

Make Up Evals: Friday July 10th from 6-8pm for anyone that could not make the previous four dates. Location is Avon High School Football Field.
