2025 Fall Tackle Football

The AYS Football Committee, USA Football, and the Avon Youth Sports organization are committed to ensuring a positive youth football experience. We provide league-wide benefits for AYS tackle football players, parents, and coaches through USA Football’s Heads Up Program. Indianapolis-based USA Football and AYS have been partners since 2011. USA Football is the sport’s national governing body and is the official youth football development partner of the NFL and its 32 teams.

2025 Summer Basketball

AYS Summer Basketball is designed to be a fun mini season during Summer break for 2nd-8th graders. Grade levels are based on the 2025-2026 school year. This program allows players the opportunity to grow and develop their skills while also having FUN!

PLEASE NOTE:
1) Basketballs are NOT distributed to coaches. Each player should bring a basketball to practice. A basketball is necessary to allow each player to work on ball handling drills during practice and allows for extra practice at home. Please make sure to put your name on it so they do not get lost. Athletes should also bring a water bottle and wear gym appropriate shoes.

SUMMER BASKETBALL SEASON
The season will run from Wednesday, July 9th - Saturday, July 26th, and will be held on weeknights (typically between 6:00pm - 9:00pm) and Saturday's (typically between 10:00am - 4:00pm). Please note that league and grade-specific practice days and times will not be determined until after registration has closed.

May 2025 Little Oriole Speed & Strength Camp

Avon High School Strength & Speed is hosting 4 days of one-hour strength and speed workouts for any student in KG-5th grade. During the 4 sessions, they will learn basic progressions and cues that will acclimate athletes to the movement and terminology used in the Sports Performance Center. Each session is programmed to be fun, fast, and full of energy. A subsequent camp that will build off of this one is scheduled for June 2025! Please bring adequate workout clothes and shoes to run/jump in. No Dudes or Crocs, please. There will be water fountains, but we encourage each individual to bring their own water bottle labeled with their name on it.

Jr. Fever Girls AAU Basketball (2nd-9th Grade, Try-out Based Program)

Jr. Fever is a try-out based AAU girls' basketball program offered to 2nd through 9th graders. Teams will have weeknight practices and play games on Saturday's and Sunday's (depending on the team).

2025 Junior Orioles CHEER (Try-Out Based)

Junior Orioles Cheer was a new addition to the AYS Cheer Program as of 2024 and we are approaching our second season! This team will consist of 4th-8th graders who will cheer for the Junior Orioles Travel Football team during the regular and tournament seasons (July-November). Junior Orioles Cheer will also aim to compete in local and tournament sponsored competitions throughout the season. In preparation for Middle School and High School Cheer teams, this team will focus on cheer fundamentals, team building skills, and promoting community spirit.  

Junior Orioles Cheer does require try-outs and we have the dates set for May 10th and May 14th.

Initial acceptance fee of $155 (includes registration fee and competition/clinic fees) will be collected with an accepted offer. * + cost of uniform pieces needed.

2025 Fall Cheerleading (Football)

AYS Rec. Cheer is a program designed for Avon children going into grades Kindergarten - 6th in the Fall. Our program goals are to teach the future cheerleaders of Avon basics, such as chants, motions, jumps, and age-appropriate stunting. We also hope to instill a feeling of accomplishment, team spirit, and good sportsmanship. Our Kindergarten - 6th grade Fall cheerleaders will cheer for AYS Rec. Football teams throughout their Fall season. The season will consist of an optional two-day summer camp in late June, weekly practices beginning in July, and cheering at assigned games every week beginning in August (times will vary) through early October. There may be additional opportunities for performances during the season, including a Colts game day experience, during an Avon High School football game, or college football game.

2025 Cheer Prep Workshops: KG-8th Grade

Get ready to elevate your cheer skills in this intensive 4-week Cheer Prep Workshop! Designed for athletes looking to refine their stunting, tumbling, and conditioning abilities, this workshop will offer focused training to help you boost strength, flexibility, and technique. Whether you're new to cheer or looking to take your skills to the next level, our expert coaches will guide you through every step of the process. Workshops will be held at the AYS Indoor Training Facility, located at 8109 Kingston St. Ste. 100, Avon.

Program Highlights:
  • Stunting: Learn the fundamentals and advanced techniques of stunting, focusing on timing, spotting, and building strong, reliable partnerships.
  • Conditioning: Build strength, endurance, and flexibility with exercises designed to enhance your overall performance and prevent injury.
  • Tumbling: Improve your tumbling skills from basic to advanced maneuvers, with progressions tailored to each athlete’s ability level.


Session 1: April 22nd - May 15th 
  • Tumbling Classes will be held each Tuesday
  • Stunting and Conditioning Classes will be held on Thursdays
  • KG-3rd Grade Sessions will be from 6pm-7pm
  • 4th-8th Grade Sessions will be from 7pm-8pm

Session 2: May 20th - June 12th
  • Tumbling Classes will be held each Tuesday
  • Stunting and Conditioning Classes will be held on Thursdays
  • KG-3rd Grade Sessions will be from 6pm-7pm
  • 4th-8th Grade Sessions will be from 7pm-8pm

VARSITY UCA YOUTH DAY CAMP - June 19 & 20, 2025

Avon Youth Sports will be hosting a Varsity UCA Youth Day Camp for ages KG - 8th grade. The cheerleaders will learn stunting, sideline cheers and chants, jumping technique, and other game-day material from UCA instructors. The AYS Fall Football Cheer season is scheduled to kick off during this optional two-day summer camp on Thursday, June 19th and Friday, June 20th at the Avon Intermediate School East Gymnasium from 8:30am - 3:00pm daily. Camp is open to both AYS cheerleaders and non-AYS cheerleaders. Participation by Fall AYS Rec. Cheerleaders and Junior Orioles Cheerleaders is strongly encouraged. The cost is $135.00 for cheerleaders and includes lunch for both days as well as a t-shirt.
