2025 Girls Basketball Youth Summer Camp

AHS Girls Basketball coaching staff and players will be facilitating camp. Join us for skill building, work on fundamentals, and play games! Offered to incoming KG - 8th graders (based on the 2025-2025 school year).

2025 Summer Jr. Golf Camp

AYS is offering a Jr. Golf Camp for incoming 3rd-8th graders (grade level is based on the 2025-2026 school year). Camp is designed for both beginners and advanced golfers. Participants will receive instruction from AHS Boys Varsity Golf Head Coach. Golf clubs will be available to borrow if needed.

Camp will be held July 14 - 17 from 10:00am - 12:00pm daily.
Location: The Prestwick Country Club, 5197 Fairway Drive, Avon

Summer 2025 Middle School Strength & Speed Camp

The Avon High School Strength & Speed Program is hosting 9 days of one-hour strength and speed workouts for any student that will be entering 6th - 8th grade for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Participants will get a taste of what the Strength & Speed course at the high school is like, learning basic progressions, movements, cues, and terminology student-athletes are expected to know in the Sports Performance Center. This camp will be used as a springboard for middle schoolers to use throughout the summer in the middle school weight rooms.

2025 Volleyball

The AYS Volleyball program is a recreational coed league played in the Fall offering players 3rd – 12th grade the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of volleyball. Players will register for the grade they will be in for the 2025-2026 school year.

Our program goal is to teach each player the basic skills of volleyball: serving, setting, spiking, serve receive, rotation, and most importantly good sportsmanship. 

Each team will consist of 8-10 players chosen by the coaches after evaluations. Coaches will emphasize player effort by following a team rotation throughout each game. 

Teamwork, communication, and good sportsmanship is a big focus for the program. Success is more than just winning. We encourage each player to display respect, effort, and team camaraderie on and off-the-court.

2025 Fall Junior Runners (Cross Country)

The goal of the AYS Junior Runners Cross Country program is to provide participants with an early competitive running experience that:
 - Involves everyone in a positive team experience
 - Allows for individual and team goal development and self-improvement
 - Develops fundamental running skills
 - Promotes healthy lifestyles
 - Builds confidence
 - Promotes fun! 

AYS Junior Runners is instructional and recreational, and aims to teach running to young athletes within the following framework:
- An instructional and recreational league
 - Focused on longer-distance running
 - Establishment of goals
 - Keeping of individual times
 - Emphasizing individual effort to improve
 - Develops individual fitness and healthy nutrition habits
 - Practicing good sportsmanship

AYS offers recreational and instructional leagues in girls' Co-Ed t-ball (06U), coach pitch (08U), and fast pitch (10U and up) softball intended to:

**Playing age for Fall 2025 Recreational Softball is based on age of player as of 12.31.2025 (The age of your daughter as of December 31, 2025 will determine what division she will play in during the Fall league. Please make note of this as it is different from our Spring League!)

Please note – AYS does not guarantee coach requests and/or ride share requests. This matches up to the policies of the other communities in our league. Head Coaches will be able to pick ONE assistant coach prior to the draft. All coaches will have their own daughters and their assistant’s daughter(s) on their team. After those players are set, a snake draft will occur. *Siblings will automatically be placed on the same team.

2025 Fall Flag Football

Welcome to 2025 Fall Flag Football! 

Please visit the Fall Flag Football page for details about the season.

Teams will be selected after evaluations. Once your athlete has been allocated to a team, you should see your player's team in the GameChanger app. If you haven’t already, please download and login to the GameChanger app. on your smartphone to be ready for updates! **You MUST use the same username and password in GameChanger as the AYS account you used to register your child in order to see their team.


FLAG FOOTBALL GEAR REQUIRED
  1. AYS will provide the athlete a jersey.
  2. AYS will have flags and flag belts as part of the equipment located at each field for each athlete's use. These flags and flag belts will stay part of AYS equipment for use in upcoming seasons.
  3. Players must wear shoes. Football cleats are encouraged, but NO cleats with exposed metal are allowed.
  4. Players may wear gloves, elbow pads, and kneepads (optional).

2025 Summer Basketball

AYS Summer Basketball is designed to be a fun mini season during Summer break for 2nd-8th graders. Grade levels are based on the 2025-2026 school year. This program allows players the opportunity to grow and develop their skills while also having FUN!

PLEASE NOTE:
1) Basketballs are NOT distributed to coaches. Each player should bring a basketball to practice. A basketball is necessary to allow each player to work on ball handling drills during practice and allows for extra practice at home. Please make sure to put your name on it so they do not get lost. Athletes should also bring a water bottle and wear gym appropriate shoes.

SUMMER BASKETBALL SEASON
The season will run from Wednesday, July 9th - Saturday, July 26th, and will be held on weeknights (typically between 6:00pm - 9:00pm) and Saturday's (typically between 10:00am - 4:00pm). Please note that league and grade-specific practice days and times will not be determined until after registration has closed.

During the 4 sessions, they will learn basic progressions and cues that will acclimate athletes to the movement and terminology used in the Sports Performance Center. Each session is programmed to be fun, fast, and full of energy. Please bring adequate workout clothes and shoes to run/jump in. No Dudes or Crocs, please. There will be water fountains, but we encourage each individual to bring their own water bottle labeled with their name on it.

VARSITY UCA YOUTH DAY CAMP - June 19 & 20, 2025

Avon Youth Sports will be hosting a Varsity UCA Youth Day Camp for ages KG - 8th grade. The cheerleaders will learn stunting, sideline cheers and chants, jumping technique, and other game-day material from UCA instructors. The AYS Fall Football Cheer season is scheduled to kick off during this optional two-day summer camp on Thursday, June 19th and Friday, June 20th at the Avon Intermediate School East Gymnasium from 8:30am - 3:00pm daily. Camp is open to both AYS cheerleaders and non-AYS cheerleaders. Participation by Fall AYS Rec. Cheerleaders and Junior Orioles Cheerleaders is strongly encouraged. The cost is $135.00 for cheerleaders and includes lunch for both days as well as a t-shirt.
