2026 Spring Junior Runners (Track & Field)

MISSION
The goal of the AYS Junior Runners program is to provide 1st - 5th graders an early competitive running experience that:
 - Involves everyone in a positive team experience
 - Allows for individual and team goal development and self-improvement
 - Develops fundamental running skills
 - Promotes healthy lifestyles
 - Builds confidence
 - Promotes fun! 

The AYS Junior Runners Track & Field program is instructional and recreational, and aims to teach running to young athletes within the following framework:
- An instructional and recreational league
 - Focused on running, jumping, and throwing, based on the athlete's interest
 - Establishment of goals
 - Keeping of individual times
 - Emphasizing individual effort to improve
 - Develops individual fitness and healthy nutrition habits
 - Practicing good sportsmanship 
- Considering all athletes as WINNERS

SEASON
The season will begin in early April and will conclude towards the end of May/beginning of June. Runners have the option of running independently on their own to improve their performance outside of practices. Athletes will rotate through stations to learn more about each track & field event. We will also host team practices and track meets.

2026 AYS Little League Baseball

The AYS Little League Baseball program is designed to teach players many life lessons. Through active play, kids will learn the fundamentals of baseball, develop skills, learn about teamwork, equip themselves to handle the ups and downs of winning and losing, and how to work hard to achieve a goal with a group of peers.

Avon Softball Club will serve players aged 7-12 years old, based on the 2026 USSSA Age Chart.

Players of all skill levels are encouraged to join, as we want all players to have the opportunity to grow and improve.

All players must play in the 2026 AYS Softball Spring Rec season *separate registration and fee*

All players who join ASC will receive the following:

✓ Monday evening workouts at the Avon Youth Sports Indoor Facility in January and February
✓ 1 ASC Shirt
